Late booking

Recommended Posts

About three years ago I booked the Empress of the Seas on the Tuesday night before it sailed (Saturday). Paid in full, got a stupid cheap rate, and were on the ship four days later. I think I booked a guaranteed room and had the room number right away.

I think officially, bookings close 3 days before sailing.

They actually do background checks on all passengers. I did not know this until our Mariner cruise. We were invited to have dinner with the Captain (Captain Per - very personnable ). He invited us to tour the Bridge, and I asked him about security. He snickered a little, and told us he knew aaaaaalll about each and every one of us.....;)
