mommyto2kids Posted May 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2010 We were out for lunch today and my husband looked over at me and said I wonder what type of cups they serve the kids drinks in on our cruise. We are cruising with Carnival. Just wondering if in the MDR and buffet kids drinks are served in regular glasses or in a plastic cup with a lid. Just trying to decide if we need to bring out own, much easier than dealing with lots of spills. Thank you.
RoadTripFanatic Posted May 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2010 There are no cups with lids unless you ask for some from the coffee stand. All cups on deck are regular plastic cups. All beverages served in the main dinning room are served in glassware.
nybumpkin Posted May 30, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 30, 2010 I would bring a sippy cup. When we started sailing with our youngest son at age 4, the glasses in the MDR were fairly large for him. He didn't spill anything, but a plastic cup would have been much easier for him. (Now, at age 10, he's bugging us to bring him to the supper club for dinner!)
SuperCoolOne Posted May 30, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2010 They had no plastic cups or cups with lids in the MDR. Pictured below is our son drinking his water. He thought he was cool. And with 3 kids and 3 nights in the MDR, we only had one spill and that was one of the older kids.
mommyto2kids Posted May 30, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted May 30, 2010 Thanks for the information. We have some good cups that don't look like Sippy Cups, but work just as well so we will definitely bring them. www.gocontigo.com for anyone who is interested. Julienatul Posted May 30, 2010 #6 Share Posted May 30, 2010 No cups with lids. My DD was drinkng out of a goblet like the one pictured above at 2.5yrs. We always bring the disposable sippys along also. You can wash them in the cabin sink with a little dish soap or just toss.
