luggage question

Recommended Posts

ok i know i should just downsize what we are taking for our family of 5 but well i admit it im an over packer and we are driving to the port so no airline fees so heres my question can i use my sons Hockey Bag to use as a suitcase? it would cut down the amount of suitcases i would need as the hockey bag is large so any experience on how many bags or size restrictions. we are taking Freedom of the seas if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for all the help!:)

no problem with a hockey bag. you'll have to check it with the porters since it's probably too big to fit through the scanner to carry on yourself. I've seen hard sided golf bags, etc. that have been checked through.

I'm not aware of any size restrictions as long as it's manageable..

As a person who uses duffel bags for luggage my answer is yes.

The cruise lines usually ask that your keep the weight to approx. 50 lbs. They will not charge you for a 51 lb bag but please keep in mind those who must handle it.
