Anchorage airport shuttle, taxi

Days Inn has airport shuttle, will it be at airport to meet flights? never used one. Also, Taxi to Anchorage downtown Days Inn, does anyone know how much? thanks.

I haven't tried the Days Inn in Anchorage, but whenever I have used a hotel's airport shuttle, I call the hotel from the airport after finding my luggage and making my way to the "Ground Transportation" door. If the shuttle is on a regular route the hotel will tell you, and if they are only "on call," the front desk will put the shuttle driver on the road.

 

I don't know the cost of cab fare, as I make it a habit to use a hotel with a shuttle unless I am renting a car!

 

When are you sailing? I can't find any people in a roll call...

I can tell you that the Days Inn in Anchorage is a nasty piece of work - I'd never stay there again at any price. Rowdy, mattresses like a hammock, security grills on the windows.....

I took a taxi from the airport to the Captain Cook hotel and it cost less then $25. They are right outside at the airport and no need to call in advance. Very easy!

Have you already booked the Days Inn. It really is awful.

Took a cab from the airport to Avis car rental and it was less than $30. (4 of us with luggage)

A taxi would be more than the $30 then because the Days Inn is probably 4 of 5 blocks further (and a few traffic lights longer).
