Taxi or Shuttle?

I am looking at hotels for the night before my cruise, which is not until November. We are cruising out of Fort Lauderdale and this will be our first cruise. So my question is, is it better/more convenient to get a hotel that does a shuttle to the port or just easier to get a taxi? What does everyone here prefer to do?

A taxi would be my choice. If you take a shuttle you will probably have to wait on other passengers before the shuttle would leave.

The shuttle hotels are closer to the airport and not nelar the waterways and beach.

 

If you will have a full day to enjoy FTL, for sure look at the hotels along the waterways and beach. From those hotels only about a 15$ cab ride to the pier.
