bobkris Posted June 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2010 Has anyone stayed at the Sofitel pyrmaid hotel ? That's the hotel that Ramses tour has booked for us. We wanted the Oberoi but we had to go on a waiting list for a pyramid room.

We wanted the Oberoi but we had to go on a waiting list for a pyramid room. Hi, Just got back from the May 18th, Navigator of the Seas cruise with RCL. We spent 2 days in Egypt, with an overnight stay in Cairo. There were 26 of us, with 2 people from our group staying at the Oberoi due to a mix up in reservations. We had about an hour in our room before we were picked up to go to our Nile River cruise. We spent that time refreshing and then sitting at the bar which overlooked the pool and pyramids. The hotel and rooms were very nice. We wouldn't hesitate going back again. It was amazing, sitting at the bar, overlooking the pool and pyramids. When we got back later that night, we sat at the bar again. So, my personal opinion, unless you are ok with spending the extra $$$, the Sofitel is a very nice hotel. It also serves a nice breakfast. Note: The couple who stayed at the Oberoi, really liked their hotel.
