Zaandam Cabin

I think I have narrowed down my 2011 trip to HAL tour 16 on the Zaandam. Now I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a cabin. We are looking at doing a verandah suite since there are 3 adults and I figure that would give us a little more room. Is one side of the ship better for a SB sailing?

I would choose port side.

We had verandah suite 7016...it was a nice location, right down the hall from the Neptune lounge. However, we did get quite a bit of noise from above - sounded like scraping of chairs. I would recommend finding a suite that is not below the pool lounging area?

Also, we were on Port side and it did seem that this was a bit better? When we were in port we could look out at the cities. (Although, I guess this could change depending on where you dock?)
