Marysunshine Posted February 3, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2005 Depending on what type of excursions you are looking for, it makes sense to book both. An example is that in St. Maarten we are booked for the Americas Cup Races. You can only book that through the cruiseline. However, in St. Lucia, we found many thread in the PORTS OF CALL threads recommending drivers you can book on your own and we reserved with Cosol for our tour. In St. Thomas I did some research and this is what we decided on: Taxi to Coral World: a few hours experiencing Coral World and Coki Beach and then parasailing with Capt.mikeviacces at Coral World. Figured that would be a full day of activities. And....cheaper than booking with the cruiseline. Read the Ports of Call threads and they will give you more info than you ever wanted to know :D
