Constellation Cabin 6107 Question

Just booked Constellation for 2/12 in cabin 6107 in category 2C. According to the deck plans, this cabin is right before the elevator. The elevator appears to "jut" out quite a ways. Does the elevator block the view forward?

Also, this cabin looks almost twice as big as the other category 2C's. Does anyone know? The reservation agent wasn't much help. Would appreciate any comments.

6107 is also a handicapped cabin, in case you didn't know. It is a larger cabin with a larger balcony, due to the size and layout of the cabin itself.

 

I would keep this cabin.

Hi, Eljaydj - My partner and I were in 6107 on the Connie for two weeks last October. Yes, the glass walls of the elevator bank block your view directly forward, but only if you really want to look right along the side of the ship. Also, people riding in the elevators can see you on the balcony (and you can see them) unless you're all the way to the right hand side. Not a big deal unless you like to stand on the balcony in your robe with a cup of coffee in the morning and watch the sun rise... There's one of the "fast" boats hanging directly below the balcony which blocks your view straight down. Most of our pictures from that trip have either the elevator bank or the boat showing in part of the picture.

 

That said, the cabin is in a very convenient location: right beside the mid-ship elevators; one flight down the stairs to the Cova Cafe; right in the middle for going fore or aft. We seldom took the elevator for two weeks and mostly just used the stairs.

 

6107 is a handicapped/ADA cabin, so not sure if you need that assistance. As such, the cabin and the bathroom are larger than normal with room for a wheel chair or scooter inside; the shower is "roll-in" with grab bars. Since there's no sill on the shower floor you sometimes get water all over the floor if the ship is rocking. As you can tell from the deck plans the cabin is the same size as the sky suites on either side, although without all the extra luxury touches of the sky suite, or a butler, of course. The balcony is wider, but not deeper, than other 2C cabins.
