Unexpected ES credit

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I got an unexpected credit on an ES fare that I thought I'd mention in case others are ever in a similar situation.

I am booked in a 4E cabin, but currently all interior cabins on the June 20th Conquest sailing are eligible for a free upgrade to 4H. The cheapest (4A) rate is $799, but the 4E rate is $849 -- even though both rates get you the upgrade to 4H.

I submitted a price reduction form for the drop to $849 since the rate has to be for the same price category. However, Carnival sent me the approval e-mail today and gave me a price drop down to the $799 rate. I certainly didn't expect to get more than I asked for, but I won't complain!
