Thinking about exploring a casino or 2 in St Martin. Anyone have a favorite? Or suggestions?

We walked into a couple located right on Front Street in Philipsburg. If you've been to Vegas, it's a bit disappointing. They are a completely different type of casino. They're also very small compared to US casinos - one of them wasn't much larger than your average convenience store.

There's Casino Royale, adjacent to Cherie's, in Maho, that's quite decent.

 

Also, I recall a pretty amazing-looking, casino-royale type venue in Port de Plaisance.

For the age question above, I'm pretty certain that it is 18, as that is the legal drinking age, as well. They don't check very closely.

Beach Plaza (this has moved to the foot of Front Street, so not so walkable)

I believe that the two largest on Front Street are the Coliseum and Rouge et Noir.

 

The largest on the island is Princess Casino, and there are many others away from Front Street, 15 to 45 minutes away, but they won't be opening until early afternoon at the earliest, and perhaps as late as 6:00 p.m. In no particular order:

 

Tropicana

Dolphin

Casino Royale

Sonesta Great Bay (nearest to Front Street)

Paradise

Atlantis

Hollywood

My wife likes the Weston casino for slots at Dawn Beach - usually a very quiet casino.

There is a pretty decent size one near the Pelican Resort at Simpson Bay.
