gunnerfubar Posted February 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2005 Since Carnival doesn't provide these stops together, has any of you taken an independent tour that stopped at both these spots? If so, who did you use, and how did you like it? Thanks for any info. -Gunner

setcarp Posted February 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2005 That is a lot in one day if you are docking in Cozumel. Getting a boat to Playa and transportation to Tulum and then getting to Xel-ha and back to the dock on the boat to Cozumel and to the ship. Much easier if you do not have the ferry. Maybe you should pick one or the other to be sure you make it back on the ship.
gunnerfubar Posted February 5, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted February 5, 2005 Our ship is in Cozumel from 7:00 am to midnight. So it allows for plenty of time as the tour brings you back to the ship at 6:00 pm.
zydecocruiser Posted February 5, 2005 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2005 It's still a lot to do in a day, but you've got time. Most of the combo tours from Cozumel leave about 8am, if I remember correctly. Yup. Here's one, but I think they are all about the same: http://www.cozumelinsider.com/Tulxel?From=Mainlandruins It's a long time on boats and busses and in the sun. From Playa Del Carmen I did the Carnival combo tour and didn't think we had enough time at Xel Ha, but did think I was beat by the end of the tour (and a couple of beers).
