Captain's welcome party

Does anyone know where and when that will be on Serenade of the Seas sailing June 20th?

The Captains Welcome Cocktail Party is usually held on the first formal night, Day 2, and is in the Safari Club on Deck 6

What do they do at those parties? My Cruise next May will be my first "Welcome Back" ... I've never been to the Captains Party

The Welcome Back repeaters party normally starts with a line of officers, leading into the Safari Lounge. One can chat with whomever they want, but most just walk past the officers and into the lounge. They serve champagne and wine, along with appitizers.

 

The party is actually put on by the LA (Loyalty Ambassador), and he/she will give a short speech about upcoming specials, the Oasis etc, and then will start asking the crowd "who has the most cruise credits" on board. A bottle of champagne is given to the person or couple with the most cruises.

 

Then the LA will introduce the captain, who will tell you a bit a history of the company, ship and exciting things that will be happening in the future.

 

It is a nice event, and hope that you enjoy your "first"!:)
