Hi all,

I have a good feeling about this group. I don't think we will have to wait too long for info. Just a gut feeling....nothing substantial to back it up with!:D

 

Trust the gut!

 

We will get a great rate, tons of onboard credit and a party with free booze everyday!

 

Ok maybe not that great of a deal, but I trust the gut!

DH and I will be on this trip. Its been 20 years since we were in Bermuda and that was on the Song of America RCCL. We will be in one of the aft-wraps.

Did you already book this cruise? Would love to have you join our group if you didn't or if you want to transfer your booking when we become Official.

Not Yet.....trying to get the best price..how long would you anticipate waiting for a group rate, and can we choose our own cabin? Cabin is real real important

I can't say, with certainty, how long until we have our prices but I'm hoping it will be very soon. As long as you pay the full deposit at time of booking, you will be able to choose your own cabin. Most often, the groups are given the opportunity to give a reduced deposit of $25 per person but are booking a guaranty catagory. As soon as they pay the full deposit, they can choose their cabin too.

If you decide to book elsewhere and don't book Early Saver, you can transfer your booking, including your cabin , to the group if you choose to. Hope this helps!

We would probably book ES. The type of cabin we want is very limited, they only have 10 of them on the ship, so I am afraid that we would lose getting one of those cabins. If we booked ES and had to change, I suspect we would pay a penalty?

Yes because you would have to cancel the booking and make a new booking with Cruise Critic's TA. If it was a regular booking, then you can just transfer everything, keeping the same booking number and cabin.

I just may pay the entire deposit so I can chose my cabin..

I may do the same, I'll wait and see though. Saving my money right now for this Sept on Pride. Lower deposit right now better. I do want to look into getting the credit for future sailing.

Although they will give us a due date for the rest of the deposit and a final payment due date, you can pay the rest of the deposit whenever you want and then pick your cabin. It's a gamble, especially if you want a certain cabin. For some though, the reduced deposit means they can book and guarantee their space on the cruise now.

I am thinking we may be stuck with the guarentee.. I just want an un-obstructed balcony.. But am also thinking with a guarantee you may end up with obstructed view..
