i can answer the question on the cruise certificates, I think...

the certificate can be applied to any booked cruise and the OBC shows up in your booking. You can use it for anything--we used it for tips.

HTH...

P.S. If anyone would kindly tell me the benefit of going to one place and docking there? I'm not obtuse; new to cruising compared to some of you and I don't understand>???

Thanks,

Hi Debra,

I can't answer for everyone but for myself....Bermuda is somewhere I always wanted to go. It looks interesting to me. And since I have traveled extensively, not only cruising, I don't mind going to just one place. I also think it will allow me a more in depth visit, where I can see and do more than if we were just there for a few hours.

I can understand that this may not be for everyone. Would love to have you join us, if this interests you!!

As for the certificate: Funny, we were able to use our FCC OBC on anything on the Triumph yet on the Liberty we couldn't use FCC OBC for tips or casino. It seems if they run each ship as it's own business.

As for the one place docking: There are so many things to do in Bermuda like caves, zoo, forts, restaurants, shopping, culture and then you have the beaches, lighthouses and coves. There are places in Hamilton and St. George to see, actually you need a week just to visit Bermuda, make sure you buy the tranportation pass for 2 or 3 days and all the bus and ferries will be included for about $10-$15pp a day.

Sheryl, sorry. You are certainly not chopped liver. I just happened to post above n2knight and noticed he had been on the Pride twice. I certainly want to know all of your secrets too.

The advantage of being in the same port for more than 6 or 7 hours is that you get to see more of the island. You don't have to be back on board at any certain time. You can come and go as you please. The ship doesn't close until time to board to come back home. You can get up, eat breakfast, roam around, come back to the ship for lunch if you're close enough, take a nap, get up, eat a snack, go the the beach, stay until dark, come back to the ship for dinner or eat in town, go back out for the nightlife on the island or stay on board. The ship is basically your hotel and restaurant. My only complaint with cruising and it is by no means a REAL complaint is that you don't have enough time in port to do everything you want to do and you have to be to plan your excursions to make sure you have PLENTY of time to get back to the ship on time.

OK.....voting is now over for the group name. Here are the top 2 vote getters:

Bermuda Bound BuccaneersXXXXXX

Bermuda Bound Pirates of the PrideXXXXXX

Please choose your favorite and put an X next to it. Voting will end by 6:00 EST Friday.

Hey , it's a tie....we need at least one more person to vote by tomorrow when voting ends and our name is decided!

Sheryl

You had mentioned a banner....

Here is something I threw together quickly last weekend.

Just an idea I decided to throw out there....

of course the name can change depending on the vote

I absolutely love it, especially the Carnival logo eyepatch. Can it be made a little smaller? Some of us have so much already in our siggys. Of course, the name might have to be changed if Bermuda Bound Buccaneers wins.;)

Let's see what everyone thinks.....OK so what do youall think of the banner??

Checked CCL prices and based on a 8D with the OBC thrown in, it seems to be approx $ 365 savings boking with the group! Awesome!

Now that is awesome! Did you get your call in today to Johna, the group's TA? She's also great with answering any booking related questions you might have!!

Now that we are Official and we will be really getting to know each other, I think it might be a good idea if we could all add our real first name somewhere on our signature so that we could all learn them. If you are uncomfortable with that, it's OK. I don't want to make anyone feel that way.;)

Ava girl....glad to know that you are Gail.

Ok, two of you are almost there! WooHoo!

Ok here I go with a question that's probably already been answered somewhere in these posts. I called Johna and left message she's already gone for the day. Now when I talk to her, what do I have to tell her to make sure she knows I am with this CC group?:o

By the way Ward Love the Banner!!

My real name is Mary and DH, the real trumpet player is Bob.

Thank you Sheryl.

I called Carnival and when added all together for the type of cabin we like and the deposit all added in, going with this group is the better deal..

I hope to be all booked tomorrow.

Yay, Mary!:D
