I really like the possible banner. I voted for Bermuda Bound Pirates of the Pride as the group name.

The CC group pricing looks better than the Carnival website pricing. I'll just have talk it over with my DH and hopefully will be calling Johna tomorrow to book. I'll let you know as soon as we're official.

BTW my name is Laurie and DH is Craig.

Thanks Sheryl!:)

I always heard that when they dock in Bermuda that the casino is closed as well as other amenties aboard. Please correct me if this information is wrong. I would not want to be in Bermuda for 3 days with half of the ship shut down. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

I have also heard that the casino is shut while the ship is in port. Hopefully, there will be other things to do, on and off the ship, in the evening.

Anyone have first hand knowledge??

Yes the Casino and all the shops are closed while in port. Believe me there is plenty to do while docked.

We would leave in the morning...come back to the ship for lunch....leave for the afternoon...come back to the ship for dinner...then head to town ( that was when we were docked in St. George) and sit around the local bar. Bands would be playing and such. Was beautiful weather at night. Then head back to the ship and join in the stuff going on there. Mind you this was NCL..but they would have deck parties...midnight buffets..comedy club ect.

I actually liked the fact the casino was closed. Normally that is usually where we spend our time so.............it would end up being CHEAPER with it closed....LOL...more money to spend shopping.

I am up for a few games of Texas Holdem or similar in the game room.

Crazee5....tobacco bay is far from the port. Not sure how you would get there..by bus or ferry maybe..we always rent scooters so we can explore the whole island...

As far as crowds..never seems to be to crowded..now that most ships are docking at the dockyard I would imagine that Tobacco bay is not very crowded.

Beautiful...beautiful Island

Like someone else posted...lots of beautiful beaches.

The last time we were in Bermuda...we drove along the coast...I kept stopping my husband every 2 minutes..." stop..I gotta take a picture". This went on forever.

for anyone that does recreational snorkeling...Tobacco Bay in St. George is awesome...it is a swimming cove...surounded by Rock...no WAVES...lots of cool fish. There is a bar on the beach..not sure if they serve food or not..restrooms and small gift shop. This is one of favorite places to swim and snorkel because of how calm it is. Beautiful.

From what I have been reading that seems to be the trend. Quite a few beaches along the south shore

However this particular beach (tobacco bay) is protected by some rock structures and seems to be a favorite among snorkelers.

Just info I have read...Never personally been to Bermuda.

C'est Tobacco Bay

Sheryl- I am counting 7 for Bermuda Bound Pirates of the Pride...

On the list above?? Mine shows 6 and 6. That's weird.....

On the list I am keeping at home, only 12 people have voted.

I thought the same thing as well. Ava - are you counting post # 509? I believe they had voted before and was reiterating their vote (post #442).

I was typing out the same email last night :D

..or just post them outright.

Hey there Mr Pete, are you booking this cruise?

Just wondering...

Sheryl, I think I like

Bermuda Bound Pirates of the PrideXXXXXXXX edited to show beachgalMA vote also, I didn't see it till mine posted

I added my X

I did like the BBB, but I am a Grammy of a Pirate,

I often times have on my T's or Hoodies that proclaim:

Pirate Born, Pirate Bred,

gunna be a Pirate

'till I'm dead,

Arrrg.

So I had better go with Pirate, or I may have to walk the plank

I too like the term pirate better. In fact I was uncertain what the difference was between a Buccaneer and a pirate (not that it really matters)

I found this interesting phrase while reading about Buccaneers

"The word buccaneer is derived from the French "boucanier", which roughly translates as "someone who smokes meat""

HEY LOOK>>>>>

The title of this thread changed to The Official........

I didn't do that.....guess Laura did. Later on, I will ask her to add in the name we chose so it is really important that we decide today!:D

Maybe I can help out with the voting on the name...

Since we already have an Official group using the "Buccaneers" moniker, I'm going to say it looks like your Pirates theme wins!
