schwamp Posted June 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2010 Hi there, I will be sailing the Jewel 7/31/10 with my 1.5 year old (along with my husband's large family!!). I am new to cruising and am trying to figure out how the logistics will work with my son. Already he is very active and mischievious. Unfortunately, he will be too young for the fabulous kids clubs....He still takes 2 naps a day, one in morning and one in afternoon. Does anyone have any tips/advice for me about this? I have some specific questions: 1) Does the Jewel rent strollers and/or toys? 2) Is there a play area for toddlers? 3) How large is the kiddie pool? Should I bring our infant floatie tube? 4) Do you recommend any toddler-friendly excursions? 5) How long does it take to get from the ship to the beach at Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau? 6) Is there any hiking trails at GSC and/or Nassau? We are considering bringing our hiking backpack for our son to take him off the ship (he can also nap in it) 7) What do you "do" all day with a toddler on a cruise??? Thanks for any and all advice you can think of!!!!! :)
patseacruiser Posted June 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2010 The kiddie pool is small and no diapers in there. I would bring the inflatable pool and there are drains you can dump into when you are done. Plus it will probably be of help to you to bathe the baby as most cabins don't have tubs.
