cbpanda Posted June 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2010 We are on the Pride in July and were looking at the menu for the steakhouse, considering whether or not we wanted to eat there. My husband suddenly asked if it was like the main dining room, in the way that he is able to order multiple dishes (as much as he wanted). Apparently, he wanted to try at least 3 of the appetizers. :D

As far as I know, you get to select one appetizer, but the food and service and quality is top rate and even though I'm a fluffy guy with a huge appetite, I have never ever left the specialty restaurant feeling even the slightest bit hungry. They also usually bring around an "amuse bouche" which is like a little surprise appetizer. It's a classier operation than the main dining room. parrotthead Posted June 11, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 11, 2010 Each person gets: One appetizer Salad-or-Soup One entree, (veggies are served 'family style'--the Wasabi Mashed Potatoes are really good) Desert-or-CheeseCourse (Coffee, Tea, Etc) -Plus- The bring out a couple little 'treats from the Chef' (little tidbits before the appetizer and before desert...one sweet one savory) ~~~It a LOT of food~~~ (and an Awesome Value) Service/Food is several nothces above MDR, IMO is good ~~Edited to say: I posted some pictures on this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1216537
Cruiser1547228475 Posted June 11, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2010 The steak house is what you use to get in the main dining room " MDR"for FREE . I think they charge around thirty bucks a person for the steak house . You can enjoy the MDR and order seconds as well for free. It's all about preference , enjoy your cruise :). parrotthead Posted June 11, 2010 #7 Share Posted June 11, 2010 The food in SupperClub is Different. The Beef for instance is USDA and Aged, (better quality--by far, then whats served in MDR) Well worth the $30pp upcharge (which 'includes tip'--but we tipped extra anyway)

parrotthead Posted June 12, 2010 #9 Share Posted June 12, 2010 Re: difference in the Beef in teh SupperClub vs Dining Room: (from their menu) Carnival (SteakHouse) only serves only USDA Prime-grade steaks. Our Steaks Are Hand Selected, USDA Prime Beef, Aged to Our Specifications, Carefully Handled and Perfectly cooked. USDA Prime beef is superior quality with abundant marbling which produces juiciness, tenderness and flavor. Only the top 2% of all beef is graded USDA Prime. Carnival guarantees every steak is USDA Prime.
