Jewel casino questions for recent Jewel cruisers

Hi. When are the casinos least crowded? What time does the casino open in the morning on sea days and what time does it close? I'm booked on a cruise in July and I really enjoy going to the casino, but I don't want to go when it's crowded and have to wait for a penny or nickel machine.

Are the casinos open when you dock in GSC or the Bahamas?

Can anyone tell me the names of some of the slot machines that they played or saw?

Does anyone who has recently cruised on the Jewel seen any of the following slot machines: American Original, Wizard of Oz, White Orchid, Wheel of Fortune (Penny version), Goldfish, Lucky Penny Penquin, Star Wars, Black Knight, Wicked Winnings II, Village People Jackpot Party, Wolf Run, Quick Hits Platnium?

If you haven't seen any of the above can you tell me which ones you did see or play?

Can anyone tell me if the Jewel has any penny or nickel machines that have 9 lines as the max number of lines? I've seen so many machines in Atlantic City that have 40 or more lines but they still have some that have 9 lines so the max bet on it is 90 cents. I know you don't have to play all the lines, but I usually like to max bet when I play slots.

A friend of mine usually gets information about slot machines that are out before she goes to a casino and plays them. I laugh when she does it, but she goes to a casino knowing which slot she wants to try by the information she gets. She told me she uses a slot forum and she finds out which slots have the highest winning amount for five of kind or which bonus has the most free games. She told me that on American Original people have won up to 100 free spins, and Lucky Penny Penquin's bonus only has 5 free spins.

So if I can get information on this site about the names of the slots on the Jewel I am going to do what my friend does. My friend also said that Lucky Penny Penquin is a very entertaining machine, but not a high payer so if there is someone, such as myself who is only playing slots for entertainment without looking for that big win, play a machine such as Lucky Penny Penquin because it is really cute.

Thanks for any info.

I'll do the best I can. Here goes

Hi. When are the casinos least crowded?

Early in the am. I like to play around 6 am.

What time does the casino open in the morning on sea days and what time does it close?

Slots are open 24/7 except when in port.

I'm booked on a cruise in July and I really enjoy going to the casino, but I don't want to go when it's crowded and have to wait for a penny or nickel machine.

At 6-7 am definitely no waiting.

Are the casinos open when you dock in GSC or the Bahamas?

Yes in GSC no in Bahamas

Can anyone tell me the names of some of the slot machines that they played or saw?

I usually don't look at the names but I do remember seeing Lucky Penny Penquin, Wolf Run and something Platinum.

Yes they do.

I always figure at the end of the cruise I'm going to be leaving my cash there, So as long as they let me play with it during the cruise then I'm happy. This last 7 day cruise (May 22nd) I was in the casino 4-6 hours a day. I also try not to go at night as its too crowded and smoky.

Thanks for any info.

Your welcome and I think you'll really enjoy yourself in the casino. Come back and let us know how you did.:)

Just off the Jewel this morning. They have a lot of penny and two cent machines. There are a whole row of slots in the back which are machines with 4 different games on each machine.

The machines I remember are: Wolf Run. Penguins, Goldfish, Cats, Wild Orchid. Kitty Glitter, Pharoah's Fortune, Treasures of Troy, Coyote Moon and lots of others. There is a pretty good assortment of games. Enjoy!

Sorry, can't help with the roulette question.

Wallaby20. That is a very interesting question. When we were on the Dream in the Baltics all the machine accepted US dollars. I think that is pretty much the rule of thumb as my feeling is that the slots onboard are manufactured in the US.

Also, to the OP. There are also 2 slots called Fairy's Fortune. It's a 2 cent (or 5 cent) machine with a max bet of 45 credits, so each spin would only cost 90 cents at max bet at 2 cents. I played it for a long time for very little money. Also a lot of the machine are multi-denominations, so make sure you check the denomination you are playing on each machine or to see if there's a lower denomination than the one shown on the screen.

Good luck and have fun!

Does anyone know how many roulette tables they have and is one a multiple person machine?

(Rapid Roulette) like on the Dawn? Thanks!

I know that they have a $2 table and one multi person machine in the casino. They also have a blackjack machine in Spinnakers.

Can anyone tell me if they use euro's in the casino on the meditterranean cruises.

They always use US$ in the casinos.

And to the OP - I have never been on a cruise ship where the casino was open all night, and I've been on about 30 cruises. It always closed as people started thinning out - usually around 2:00 am. On sea days slots usually opened at 8:00 and tables a little later in the day.
