travel2 Posted February 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2005 We were considering a cruise this May 7th starting in So.Hampton covering Spain and the Canary Islands, a cruise I found on line. However the 2005 Europe Catalog does not contain the Legend of the Seas nor any itiniaries. RCI's office was not aware of this, could not explain it nor could they help me. Yet, the ship appears to be pretty much booked - - per internet! I directed my question also in writing but haven't received a reply. Can any one shed some light on this ? sally r Posted February 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2005 Doesn't Carnival have a ship named Legend? Could this be the source of the confusion? Just a thought.
peppermintpatti Posted February 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2005 Check out this link directly to the RCCL website and you will find your May 7 cruise. As with any cruiseline you can call customer service 5 times and get five different people with 5 different answers. Never take what just one says as gospel! http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/search/vacationSearchResult.do;jsessionid=0000-yNhKkpMubj3bXkNkIruAAG:v29bc4qk?cS=QVS&date=20052&dest=ANY&port=ANY&ship=LG&cruiseTourOnly=false&x=28&y=
travel2 Posted February 4, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted February 4, 2005 It is one of Royal Caribbean's ships, yet it is not in their European Catalogs. I know the info it on line, BUT how about the people that have no access. Their office can't even help me with booking for this particular cruise. What a way to do business. I wonder if it is chartered out. Thanks for your thoughts, I guess we have to look into some other cruise.
