Progreso - Snorkling ?

Is there any areas to snorkle in this port we saw no tours that offered this on the ship in Progreso. :confused:

No snorkling. Progreso is on the Gulf, not the crystal clear Caribbean. The water is shallow till you get pretty far out as the Yucatan state sits on a limestone shelf. The reason for the 4.5 mile pier. Very light wave action keeps the water stirred up. There are many options for your day at Progreso. Keep reading.

Thanks ... beach then a few block from the dock as people have posted about eat and have a few drinks. Just not into the tours this time around we do not want to live by a clock and be rushed.
