derf5585 Posted June 18, 2010 #26 Share Posted June 18, 2010 \If you've sailed the Seven Seas", have you sailed all seas? In modern times, the International Hydrographic Organization lists over 100 bodies of water known as seas from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Seas Why don't they call using a tender "tenderizing"? Why does a boat have "Exit" signs in the hallways? Exit to what? What is the sea level of a boat?
fleckle Posted June 18, 2010 #27 Share Posted June 18, 2010 Why do we board a ship when we don't use a board? Are dog's silent when they disembark? Are there always crowds on the gangway? Why do we watch a sunset when the sun does not set? Why is it a new moon when it's older than the last one? Why do we have to log in when I want to check the boards? If you've sailed the Seven Seas", have you sailed all seas? Why do Americans park on the driveway and drive on the parkway? Why is the time of day when traffic moves the slowest called rush hour? Why does the drink that is called an egg cream contain neither egg nor cream?
