psbtrvlr Posted June 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2010 When we had a hurricane in our path, the ship simply reversed the itinerary.
househunter Posted June 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2010 http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/graphics_ep2.shtml?5-daynl#contents Here is the 5 day forecast. I wouldn't worry about it, even if it were to change course or get worse, the cruiselines deal with hurricane season for 5 months every year- they know what to do! The can change course to avoid the storms and sometimes that involves a change of ports or the order.
CRUISING71 Posted June 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2010 We went last year during Hurricane Jimena. The ship did change course, but it was the most enjoyable cruise for us, because it was like sailing on glass. So smooth and relaxing and the weather was so perfect. Not happy with port, but oh well.... we end up with Catalina and Enseneda instead of Mazatlan and PV.
dljones Posted June 17, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2010 http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/index.shtml?epac They are all moving out to sea and shouldn't affect anything. I am going there myself next week on the Mariner! Have Fun!!!
