lilipad2 Posted June 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2010 Good evening all. I have a question regarding the semi-sub tour out of Sitka. I've searched through the forum, but haven't read anything recent regarding the sem-sub. This looks like something my 5 yr old would enjoy -- boat, under water views and a touch pool. I was wondering if anyone had any feedback they'd like to share. Thanks in advance!! :)
lilipad2 Posted June 21, 2010 Author #2 Share Posted June 21, 2010 Just wanted to see if anyone has been on this. Curious to know if it's worth it -- 5 yr old or not. :o

sparky-elpaso Posted June 21, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2010 Just wanted to see if anyone has been on this. Curious to know if it's worth it -- 5 yr old or not. :o If it's similar to one we (both adults) went on in Ketchikan your 5-year old should like it. The guides brought down some starfish and sea urchins for the kids to touch and hold. I was surprised at the jellyfish in the water - didn't think of them being in colder water. On the trip back from the viewing area everyone went up on the deck - we saw bald eagles, a great blue heron and other birds and some beautiful scenery.
