arriving at 1pm... what to do in those few hours

It seems as though many things (beaches, dolphins) close at 5 or 6. If we are not scheduled to disembark until 1pm, what do you do with the few hours you have? The AI beaches seem not worth the money for the shorter time frame. I was thinking of doing a Discover Mexico/Chankanaab Park combo but don't think we'll have time to do both. Still considering a dolphin swim or maybe just a beach with snorkeling. (It's me, DH, DD 14, and DS 11)

Just remember that ship time and port time can be different. I will be in Cozumel on a Carnival ship that docks at 1pm but that is noon Cozumel time. I know that's only one hour but it can make a difference on booking excursions.

Hope that helps a little bit :)

We're planning on hitting Chankanaab if the weather permits and we arrive at the same time as you. It also closes at 5. We figure if we get off at 12 local time, arrange for a taxi, etc it'll be around 1 by the time we get there. That leaves 4 hours to explore there- plenty of time!
