Funchal - question for Biaria

Recommended Posts

We are coming to Funchal in September on P&O Ventura, They are not running a trip this time to do the Cable Car and Toboggan. My question is this - we would like to visit the flower market, do the cable car up and look around Monte and then do the toboggan back down and then if time visit a wine place for some tasting. Is all this possible in one day and also can you recommend a wine place. Thanks.

Hello bee-ess,

Nice to know you're coming to Madeira.

For the itinerary you mention, you'll need something like 4 to 4.5 hours, so you'll probably be able to do it, as usually cruise ships stay here for a good lengh of time.

After your Toboggan ride, you'll need transport. If you choose to take a taxi, maybe the driver will be able to recommend a good wine tasting place and he'll take you there.

Beware of any over charges though, if the taxi driver drops you off in town - and there are good wine lodges in town - don't pay him more than 10 Euros.

Have a good time in Madeira!
