scrapbooking as an activity?

I have read some of the posts related to scrapbooking, and am happy to know that Carnival sells scrapbooks and supplies. I just got off RCI Oasis of the Seas. One of the activities 2 times a day for an hour, for 6 of the 7 days, was scrapbooking. They gave out 3 free scrapbook sets with embellishments and 3 12x12 pages. They had mini punches and a device that cut out words and figures. There was another set with 8 pages and even more embellishments that you could buy, all RCI and Oasis of the Seas related.

The photo shops sold a scrapbook, but I was told it would not fit 12x12 pages, a surprise for those who were planning to put in the pages they had made- all ready except for the photos you could paste in later. We are going on the CCL Freedom in December. Are there activity times such as I described, or just an opportunity to buy supplies? Does the scrapbook they sell hold 12x12 pages?
