11612 or 11618 on The Dawn

Anyone have any experience with these cabins? Is it very noisy with the elevators being right outside your cabin?

We stayed in 11612 last December and I loved it. You didn't hear any noises from the elevator area and I liked the close proximity it provided to both the stairs and the elevator. An added plus was the Garden Cafe was just 1 level up the steps! :)

When we sailed the Dawn in 2006, we had friends who stayed in 11612 and LOVED it. The elevators are not really an issue. There is a doorway seperating the elevator/stair lobby from the corridor. 11616's door faces toward the doorway (and 11618's might also) but to get to 11612, you had to go through the door and slightly down the corridor which kept the traffic noise down.

 

They like the location because of the proximity to the elevators and stairwell. If they wanted a cup of coffee or a quick snack, they just went up one flight of stairs and the buffet was right there. Great location...if we ever go on the Dawn again, they want that same room!

 

 

We were down in 11592 and they were able to get a BA on the same floor as our Mini-Suite. In our opinion, 11612 and 11112 may be the best BA cabins on the ship! (followed by 11618 & 11118)
