Has anyone done the Buccaneer Stingray city Catamaran excursion? We already booked it, i just want to know if the catamaran is in as good shape as it looks in the pictures. Also, how were the other snorkel spots? pictures would be a plus! :)

We just got back from our cruise earlier this month. We did the Buccaneer trip, and had a great time... The catamaran is small, but it is nice. The very first stop is the stingrays, you will be in the water approximately 30 minutes or so there.. Then you get in the boat and go a little ways further and stop at the 1st of the snorkel stops.. it was pretty good snorkeling.. 30 more minutes, then on to the last stop... snorkel another 30 minutes then head back to the dock.... Over all we enjoyed it. We would have liked to snorkel for longer than 30 minutes at a time, but it was ok...

Also, just yesterday we got the pictures that we ordered from the lady who was taking pictures of everyone holding the stingrays. It came on a disc in the mail, and the pictures were very good. Always a little scared to give them money up front and not know if it is legit.. this is.. Nice to have pictures of the 4 of us holding the stingrays, and the extra underwater pictures were nice!! Well worth the money that we paid!!

Hope this helps!!

Probably the only disappointing thing about our cruise in May was that we had booked this excursion, and upon arrival learned it had been canceled. It wasn't really their fault, as all of the excursions to that side of the island were also out, but it was a bummer. We made the best of it and went down to the beach. Just sort of a fair warning that if the winds are too high, you could run into this, although I'm not sure how common it is...

We have gone with them twice. They are a class act and I highly recommend them!!! We had the same guides several years apart, I think that speaks of their reputation. Captain Bryan drove the bus for us himself once. Have fun!!!

30 mins a spot just isn't enough time, I thought it maybe an hour a spot considering the tour is 4 hours, but the boat ride must take a while, thanks for the heads up.

What I am wondering is that Capt Bryan's excursion for the sting rays plus 2 other snorkle spots is 4 hours and Capt Marvin's exucursion for the same thing (sting ray plus 2 snorkel spots) is 3 hours.

Anyone know why Capt Bryan's is 4 hours vs Capt. Marvin's is 3 hours?

Trying to decide between both excursion companies.

If it's windy enough he will put the sail up for the return to the area where the boat is docked at. When we went two years ago, he did this on our excursion. They threw on some music and it was a really nice way to end the day. We are going with them again in Jan on our cruise because we loved it so much. This might be why it's listed as a four hour trip to allow for the slower sail back time.

We loved this trip so much in 2008 that we are booked for our November cruise this year. The crew is excellent and really take time for you to enjoy the stingrays. We bought the pictures and have enjoyed reviewing them over & over again. Would recommend this excursion for all ages. The crew went out of their way to find a good snorkeling spot for our group since the water was cloudy in their usual spot to stop. ;)
