Help! Using Cash for Sign&Sail. How does it work??

I plan on setting up my account using a credit card, but would like to pay it off prior to the end of the cruise. In the past, I've done this with Traveler's Checks. This time I plan to use a Visa Travel card...do you think I will be able to pay it off at the end with this? Thanks in advance for any help on this!

In Miami, you go into a separate line to add cash before getting on the ship.

 

Same for Port Canaveral. And there was only a 2-3 min wait.
