liftman Posted July 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2010 cruising on oceana on july 24th. can`t find out what nights are formal and fun ( black & white, caribbean etc ). Would be helpful to know as I'd like to book a speciality dining night and don't want to double up. Can anyone help?
capasamari Posted July 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2010 You can't book speciality restaurants until you are on board anyway, and when you go to book they will know at the restaurant when the formal nights are due to take place, as they will at the salon for booking hair appointments! BrianI Posted July 9, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2010 Normally the second and penultimate nights are formal and the other two will be in between. Black and white is a formal night, usually the last one. Brian
liftman Posted July 9, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted July 9, 2010 Hi Brian, Thanks for that - it's useful to know as we thought black n white night was a fun night (not a formal night). It's our first time with P & O so we're unsure.

Our formal nights all got a bit mixed up due to England matches and a few other issues, but we still had 4. There is a Tropical and 60s and 70s night which aren't formal and the black and white is the formal themed night, which on our cruise was the 3rd formal evening. You will always get told what is happening and when so don't worry ;)
