New to cruising! Question on reservations

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I was on a cruise years back on the old lady Sovereign of the Seas. It was fun, but I was sick. :( Not seasick - I had pneumonia came to find out.

Anyway, I am looking into taking my niece as a graduation present on Explorer next June. Her father has not given me the OK yet and he is hesitant. I am wondering if I book it and he says no would I be able to change to another person or drop a passenger and cruise single? I am aware of the 200% for cruising single. But I am determined to get back on a ship even if I go alone.

You should be able to change cabin mates up to final payment. Whatever you do you are best off delcaring two, or more if thats the case, rather than 1 in a cabin. it is easiser to drop than add.

You are able to change names on a reservation as long as one name remains on the reservation. In your case, a double cabin, you can change your nieces name or drop it, even after final payment.

For those booking a quad, they can change 3 names on the reservation.

I hope your niece is able to cruise with you. Good Luck!
