Pool in Spice H2O?!

I never heard or saw of movies being played in any reviews I read, but I do assume one problem there would be that playing movies might attract kids, or would tempt parents to "break the rule" and bring their kids to this area. Unless they played "adults-only" movies! Haha!

I just hope regardless of what is played on the big screen, parents keep their kids out of this area. With so much of the ship having so many "kids areas", I'd like to think we adults can have a 24-7 adults-only area.

However, the "psychedelic graphics" might get old after awhile. Maybe even nauseating. But I do like the idea of random videos from around the ship being displayed (if that even happens). But if so, that'd be cool!!!!

I'm hoping they keep it under control and the parents stick to rules. I've seen some parents do some outrageous things too.

That's true. It would get boring after awhile. However, random videos from around the ship....or how about some web cams in various areas around the ship...how cool would that be to see. "You're on candid camera"...ahahaha, there's no telling what you might see and the people wouldn't even know they were on camera. They could probably get some of the "funniest videos" awards. Oh gosh, what am I saying??? This could be me on that camera and not know it....strike that thought. :D:eek:

People picking on their nose? Ewww...

If I see kids in the Spice H2O area I will be informing staff. Having an exclusive adults only area is exactly one reason why we booked this cruise.

Plenty of space elsewhere for families to chill.

For the record I love kids but not in an adults only area please.

We are on the September 25th cruise. :D

My 1st one, so not sure if I will have a 2nd cruise (everyone I talk to seems to think that I will fall in love with cruising, but I'll have to wait and see!)

Congrats on being a mommy & grandmama! You look great!

I am just looking forward to sun, fun, and NO drama!

Anxious about my 1st cruise though....hubby has been begging me since we met when I was 19. Now at 38 I finally caved in and agreed to go...kinda nervous and kinda excited too. I have no idea what to expect!!! That makes it fun & scary wrapped into one!

Congrats to the newbie! You are going to love it and then you will get addicted!

Nothing to get worried about the big ships are not like small boats, most of the time you dont even notice your moving. The only time you will feel anything is if the seas are rough. Your going to be fine.

Exactly what I thought it was to be used for. Havent read anywhere that they will be using it for movies.

Awww man! You guys are depressing me... no movies? What the heck? lol Why have such a big screen if your not going to show movies? What a waste.

My biggest fear, after being on these boards, is that people seem so critical.

I am a married 38-year old gal that loves to drink, dance & party and is looking forward to an adults-only bar scene. Translation to some? I am now apparently a child-hating, self-centered b@tch.

I am looking forward to a "freestyle cruise" so I don't have to be dressed up everyday like I am at work. Translation to some? I am now apparently a slob in a tank top and flip flops that no one wants to sit near.

I am excited about my balcony stateroom and am not bothered at all by the toilet and shower setup and most certainly don't mind doing my business in the bathroom even though my hubby of 16 years might be in the cabin at the same time. Translation to some? I am a raunchy broad who has no discretion.

I feel like when they take my photo for the keycard once on board, they are gonna stamp a big red "X" on it so everyone knows I am the drunk, trashy, so-called kid-hating, pooping lunatic on the ship! :D

Hahahaa.......lucky for me I can find humor in anything. :p

But in all seriousness, I indeed heard that cruising is addicting. Well have to see! I do believe what you say about it because everyone I know that has cruised has done it more than once!

I also have to remind myself that I am a good person, I am a good traveler, and I am fun to be around, so people's comments on who they think I am shouldn't mean too much in regards to my enjoyment of what is to come.

What is different about cruising, well at least in regards to this message board, is that usually I do not write on message boards for the destination where I am about to travel. So this is VERY new to me,...hearing people criticize every aspect of what should or should not happen on one's vacation. And at times it's made me look forward to the cruise, and at times it's made me feel anxious about it. So I suppose I just have to take every response with a grain of salt, and simply just enjoy the addiction of posting and reading messages! ;)

Im in my 40's have two kids, and also am a grandma of 2 little ones. I for one wouldnt break the rules if its adults only thats why the rules are. Ive seen people break rules but i for one wouldnt. I want my peace and quiet too. I mean you wouldnt see me crashing into the kids place and take over the area thats assigned to them would you? Parents should know better but some dont.

I dont care if the bath room has a door on it or not, ive seen my husband of 25 years naked and he alwasy stinks up the room when he farts, nasty i now but im honest. I'll bring spray and that will take care of that! lol

Its your vacation, and you should not let it bother you when people dont agree with your points of view. Although you may not hear it often alot of people think the same way as you, they just dont say it, or might be scared to say it as some of the people on the boards complain about everything.

When we go on vacation, we dont expect much so were not disappointed, we make the best out of all the vacations, and i tell you ive had some that were not the best. Got to go with the flow i say.

Dont worry and just go with open mind and enjoy. Everyday is an adventure! Never let anything get you down, i say.

Hey listen I feared the same.

1. Most people you encounter on board will be delightful and exactly the same as you and I. On their vacation for fun, to dance, drink and be merry.

2. You will encounter a LOT of people that have an obsession with food.....they're easy to spot ;) In my experience they also tend to be the miserable moaners who you constantly hear saying things like "That's Crappy" !! Everything in life is "Crappy" to these people but fortunately they are few and far between.

3. Nothing is ever as bad as people on here make out. People can be so precious sometimes. We are the sort of people that take what life throws at us on the chin and makes the most of it. As with everything you do in life there will be people that want to make a mountain out of a mole hill and moan.

4. I guarantee you will encounter someone that moans that they didn't know they had to book a show ticket, or a restaurant reservation or that they had to pay extra for the Spa or certain restaurants.

Just ignore them and have a great time. As I said this sort of behaviour isn't exclusively linked to cruising you will have seen this sort of thing in your everyday life right ?

Have a great time. I know you will.

Can you imagine if the spa and all the special restaurants were free? We would never be able to get in!

Id rather have the choice to pay and get in then not pay and never get in right? lol

But if you hang out in the adult areas you dont have to deal with parents yelling at kids, kids crying .. thats peace and quiet for me.

Don't let these boards influence you at all...they represent a very small number of the people who will be on your cruise. We travel the world and have done many cruises but only recently joined these boards.....I have to admit, many people (more than other boards where we spend time) seem to be more conservative, fairly judgmental and....boy do many of them like to complain about the most ridiculous stuff....bathroom doors, the sink, booking shows, smoking, the casino is too big, the casino is too small, the cirque show is too risque',....blah, blah, blah...it's vacation....we will have fun regardless.

Now, I know there are just as many fun people who spend time here but don't think they post nearly enough:)..have fun..I'm sure you will!;):D
