If you have a cabin on Deck 8 (Verandah) under the Lido Deck get ready for almost constant noise. First you get "Boom" "Boom" from the pool speakers then noise when they are cleaning the deck and throwing chairs.

 

Also take winter coats as the ship is freezing.

 

Talked to one lady whose cabin was below the casino and she said she could herar the slot machines going when the casino was open,.

Luckily, we 8251. It was a great room, not directly unnder the Lido.

That is why my wife and I first on the advise of our TA. Pick a cabin just a few cabins down from the Atrium on deck 8. Not close enough to be bothered by noise from the elevator and lobby area. But not under or over anything that might be noisey or bothersum of our vacation.

Unfortunately, that type of noise is typical and a frequent complaint here on CC. I would avoid any deck under the Lido or under/over any bar or late night venue.

 

If this happened to you, sorry to didn't find this well known information out before you booked your cruise.

I got the cheapest cabin available for my cruise so I think I'm down below the engines in the balast section of the ship.

Sorry the noise bothered you. When choosing our cabin, I avoided directly below the lido and went with the empress deck aft. Good to hear that the ships temp is comfortable. Nothing better than coming back from port, when you're parched in more ways than one and walking into the coolness. Ahhhh, 4 more days:D

my last cruise we were in room 6406 on Freedom, just above the disco. didn't get to sleep until 4:00am most mornings. i will never let this happen again.

A good rule of thumb is to always book cabins that have other cabins above and below.

 

As for the cold thing, I can't help you there. I like it cold so it's a nice break from our 78-degree house. :D

been on the conquest class of ships many times ... stayed on the veranda deck a couple rooms 8201 , 8353

had zero issues ..

We were under the pool on the Legend and only occasionally heard any noise. No issues at all.
