Planer's Edge Posted July 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Has anyone booked through CAS lately. They seemed to have changed some qualifications. We qualified as of mid March of this year but don't now. And this is for the same exact cruise. They quoted me a price in March but can't now? PE
Planer's Edge Posted July 12, 2010 Author #2 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Update: Qualifications have changed as of January 1st. Getting a price in March was a fluke/mistake. Seems as though qualification has been increased by about half. Our 800 points now need to be 1200. Oh well, all good things must come to an end. EileenN Posted July 13, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2010 We had been comped a balcony cabin in the past but this year it is either an inside or a percentage off. This is a definite change in their program. Not quite the thrill it was in the past.
rohudd1 Posted July 13, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2010 My husband and I book NCL through CAS and we told that our trip to Bermuda this year could not be booked through them. Unfortunately, on our Feb. cruise, due to weather problems, we missed 3 days of the cruise and did not qualify. When my husband explained the situation, NCL was gracious enough to give us this benefit. I am now booked for a Bermuda cruise on July 23rd, and I thank this cruiseline for understanding.:o
geneticfreak Posted July 13, 2010 #7 Share Posted July 13, 2010 In the past, I've been comped insides and paid for upgrades to outside or balcony. Paid less for 2 in a balcony on Epic than most pay for one person inside. Now I'm not sure if my play will give me the same results mostly because I know I had less action on the Epic and it is the casino's fault. As a blackjack player I know the difference between good and not so good games and I've seen the game deteriorate to something not worth playing. A couple years ago you could find a 6 deck game with the dealer standing on all 17's, then it changed to hitting soft 17, and now it is 8 decks hitting soft 17. My action was less on each trip because of this to the point where I hardly played any blackjack on Epic. My average bet on a good game was well over $50/hand on the good game, but on the last trip I'd say it dropped to around $20/hand.
