Mariner Review 5/30/04 Sailing.....LONG!

Recommended Posts

Hi Sheila from Prattville! We are just a few miles apart. My husband and I are going on the Mariner in August.

I have one more question for you. Since you had two room stewards, how was the tipping handled? Was one of them considered a helper?

aucruiser, we paid our tips with our SeaPass so we received vouchers to put in the envelopes. Of course, we added cash to the vouchers because everybody deserved it. From what I was told, the recommended tip included both stewards. However, we added enough cash in the envelope to cover both of them. They were great, even if we didn't hardly get to talk to them. On our last cruise, we saw and talked to our steward a lot because she was so terrible. What I liked about RCCL's way, you can call your room steward on your cabin phone. With Carnival, you have to beep them and then they might not even answer.

I am jealous that you get to sail the Mariner in August. You will truly be amazed at her beauty. I just hope you meet a lot of nice and fun people like we did.

The pools are salt water, but they have fresh water showers near them.
