I moved to Belize from the US two years ago...I do take some meds daily as well as antibiotics or other meds.when needed. I do get all my meds from local pharmacy's due to the fact that is where i live. I have never had a problem. all meds have done what they are supposed to do.

The pharmacies are not fly by night operations preying on tourist. They supply meds to their community.

The danger is if you buy without a visit to the doctor, you may misdiagnose or cause other complications.

While local Belize pharmacies may be legitimate, the warnings on this thread are specific to Ms. Sweetie Pie, allegedly former Walmart pharmacist from Alabama, who has been scamming tourists at the Belize cruise ship terminal for years now -- yours truly included.
