Have sailed on Oceania's Nautica before and loved it. Sailing on August 5th on the Yacht Haven cruise. This is the second offering of this itinerary, the first sailed on June 17th. Wondering if any on board the June 17th could share any comments or experiences.

Hi!

We were on the Yacht Havens cruise in June. This was our 6th Oceania cruise. We loved the cruise! The ports were wonderful! You do not need a tour in Sanary Sur Mer or Sete. You can walk around on your own and enjoy both ports.

We loved our tours in both Sardinia and Corsica. In fact, my husband had researched Sardinian wines and bought two bottles.

We took a tour in St. Tropez and then visited the art museum in the afternoon. We also did some shopping. Louis Vuitton is my favorite store. I bought a bag there and found it at home for $200 more than in St. Tropez.

We were invited to dine at the Captain's Table. The Captain is very friendly and easy to chat with. He invited us for a private tour of the Bridge with our tablemates prior to dinner. We were able to see the ship leave Cannes from the Bridge. The Captain and General Manager also joined us at tea time one afternoon.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Hi, Rhea

Thanks for your prompt reply. Sounds as if you had a great time. We were wondering which excursion you took in Sardinia. We're considering Scenic Costa Smeralda (to Porto Cervo). And which Sardinian wines were you so pleased with? What was most interesting in Corsica? Did you go to Porto Vecchio?

Hi!

Yes, we did Scenic Coastal Smeralda and loved the tour.In fact, our tour guide suggested we take the train ride through Porto Cervo and we loved it. I'll get the name of the wine my husband loves and post it. We loved our tour in Corsica as well. I'll look up the name of the tour and also post it. We went to Portofino and took a tour of Portofino and Santa Margarhita. Where is Porto Vecchio? We walked around Portovenere on our own since we had been there before. It is easily done on your own!

Hi Brian,

The wine from Sardinia is called "Cannonau". Several passengers bought it at my husband's recommendation and loved it!

We did the tour in Corsica to Sartene-an adorable town with amazing scenery along the way!

Any other questions-let me know.

By the way, our son's name is Brian and our last initial is J and our address is 45..... What a coincidence your screen name is BrianJ45!
