Port Canaveral

Is there a hotel near by with a park and cruise package that actully has a view of the port? We are thinking of driving down a couple of days early, visting the space center and beach and then cruise. We are early risers and would love to watch the ship come in.

We booked at the Country Inn and Suites! It is the closest hotel to the Port and if you look at the Radisson Cam, you can see the port from there as well but it's further away. I can actually see part of the Country Inn and Suites on the cam and it looks like the ships are almost across the street from it when they are docked.

We booked a park/cruise package for $116.00 which includes breakfast as well.

Here is a link to the cam if you want to take a look. The best days to see ships are Saturday (Carnival Dream), Sunday (Carnival Sensation, Freedom of the Seas) and Thursdays (Carnival Sensation). There are a few others that go out of there but these are the main ones I watch. Disney also sails from there.

If you look on the webcam and click the button on the bottom, you can control the web by moving the cam with the sliders on the sides and bottom. Look for Bluepoints Marina and that is usually where the ships dock in that area. The building right in front of it (beige with light green) is the Country Inn and Suites and the other closer on the cam is the Residence Inn.

Hope this helps you!

We don't really need to drive down Friday, but want to stay somewhere the Sat. night we return. Do you know if this package works for that? (park car there during the entire cruise, then just stay one night at end).
