jennywbbaseball Posted July 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2010 I think I understand that there is WiFi on the Millennium ship, but I'm confused about whether it will support our Macbook. Has anyone used their Mac onboard? If Safari doesn't work, how about Firefox? Alaska bound in just a few days!!!
kitty9 Posted July 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2010 My Mac Air worked just fine, using Firefox. But, wifi was very spotty in the cabins. Mostly, it worked in hot spots near to the computer center.
jennywbbaseball Posted July 19, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted July 19, 2010 Looks like there are either not many Mac users out there, or most people "unplug" on their cruises! Thanks for answering!!! What ship were you on, and where did you go?
giraffelt Posted July 19, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2010 We are just back from the Baltic on the Constellation (sister ship of the Millie). I used my iPAD WiFi for my email and it worked perfectly. as stated in the other reply there are wifi hot spots around the ship. also remember you do need to buy internet time to get out to cyber world. my routine was to connect and down load messages. then log off and compose new emails and replies off line. I then reconnected to send out the messages. that way I was conserving my internet minutes. worked well. enjoy your cruise.

What ship were you on, and where did you go? I've been on all the M Class ships and on Solstice, many times, even to Alaska. I've been on 64 cruises, overall. jennywbbaseball Posted July 20, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted July 20, 2010 Wow! You've really "cruised" around! We've been on RCCL and WindStar. This will be our first Celebrity cruise. Thanks for the info.
