Harbie Posted July 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2010 We are going on our first cruise in October and I am so excited. We are thinking about renting 4 wheelers or the Dune Buggies....Does anyone have any suggestions on whether to go thru carnival vs finding an outside source? Thank you

bellariddle Posted July 19, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2010 Mazatlan seems to be an easier port to do things on your own if you're wanting to go down to the beach area. You can walk to the water taxis. Pay $2 for round trip tickets over to the beach and then do a lot of activities there. Horse back riding, body boarding, swimming, etc. I can't tell you specifically about the 4 wheelers but at the port you will be overwhelmed with all the people offering activities. I recommend having an idea of a couple trusted names. For example if you want to do horses, Randi's Happy Horses is great.

tcpo Posted July 26, 2010 #9 Share Posted July 26, 2010 We did the ATV's on Stone Island. Just rented from Molokais restaurant area. ($35) How did you like the ATV's and where all did the ride go? We are still trying to decide what we are going to do in Mazatlan, if anything, so any input you could give me on this would be greatly appreciated. Also, how long did were ya'll able to ride? Thanks!!

Thanks!! It was about an hour. We rode down the beach about 20 mins and then over the more green area where there is a dirt rode you can follow. You ride them basically wherever you want to. We just raced up and down the beach. It was really fun! We could have ridden farther down the beach, but I was afraid to get too far away in case it broke down. :D
