MERLOTCHAMPAGNE Posted July 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2010 We're looking for a wine shop close to cruise terminal. We'd like to buy a few bottles of wine before boarding the ship. The only shop I find is La Fabrique du Vin on rue Saint-Jean but that seems like a cab ride especially with wine bottles. Anyone have any suggestions/thoughts? Twickenham Posted July 21, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2010 There are 2 branches of the provincial liquor store, the Société des Alcools, within fairly easy reach of the dock: http://www.saq.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/RechercheSuccursale?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&country=CA&stateProvince=QC&city=Québec&latitude= 46.814453&longitude= -71.210515&transaction=search&searchQuantifier=AND&radius=4&zoomLevel=8&coderegion=031&pwidth=494&pheight=324&maxSearchResults=100&pageResults=20&units=km The one at the Château Frontenac is walkable, but straight up hill (you can take the funicular). Or, the one on Jean-Lesage is a straight, easy bus ride. Right behind that branch, there's a grocery store (Metro) if you want other beverages.
