Oosterdam Balcony Question

We are booked on the Oosterdam on June 5th to Alaska (our first HAL cruise) and have booked a balcony cabin. Looking at the photos it appears the cabins on the Upper Promenade deck (deck 4) maybe have slighly larger balconies than those on decks 5 - 8. Does anyone know if this is true? And if so, does it have more chairs than the standard 2 chairs (we are traveling with our 2 children).

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

All of the deck 4 side verandas are 7.5 ft deep, except the four VH are slightly cut off by the curve of the ship. All of the side VA/VB/VC on decks 5 to 8 are 6 ft deep, and the VE & VF on deck 5 are 4.5 ft deep.

All VA>VH have the same two chairs, one footstool, and one small round table.

Thank you for the quick reply and all the info. We were actually booked in a VF on deck 5 and didn't realize the balcony was smaller. Will be calling the TA tomorrow to upgrade to VD to get back to a slightly larger balcony.

Yes, the VD would give you a 67% larger balcony than a deck 5 VF ... but the outer 1.5 ft of the VD is exposed, with just the inner 6 ft covered.

Note how the deck 4 balconies protrude in this pic:

A picture is worth a thousand words and explains it all. I am more concerned now about being on the 4.5' balcony - that could be a little tight with 4 of us.

I do have one more question if anyone knows - with 4 in the room I know the 3rd bed is the couch but what about the 4th bed -I assume it is a pull down bunk but where in the room is it located? Over the couch? Over the other bed?

Thanks again for all the info and help.
