Carnival Splendour Questions??

Hi,

Hope some people can help me out there?

We are a Party of 4 from UK, originally we booked this cruise with RCI and our TA rang to inform us that we had the choice to either stay with the cruise and travel with Carnival Splendour or our money back. We decided to stick with the cruise as we are having time in Vegas, LA and San Fransisco. Carnival is not as well known in UK as other cruise lines so I have some questions if anyone can help?

1.Would men looked out of place dressed in dinner suits for formal nights?

2.How would you rate the evening entertainment?

3.Are the 'paying' specialality restaraunts worth the money?

4.Any idea on the cost of drinks, ie,cost of a beer and a short(Rum, whiskey)

5.How would you rate Carnival as a cruise line, ie,is it known in US as being a budget line?

Thanks Alot

Margaret:):D:p

Check out my travel journal in the All Things Splendor thread....some of your questions will be answered there.

Business suit is just fine for Formal Night.

Entertainment: Depends on the type of entertainment you're lookin for.

The Pinnacle is the speciality resturant; see my journal.

Drinks are expensive compared to on land prices; anywhere from $5 - $10

Yes, Carnival is considered a budget line, however, as long as you're not expecting the higher class type of cruise you will enjoy Carnival.
