ljzelenz Posted July 24, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2010 My husband and I along with our 2 children, Ages 5 and 7 will be sailing on the Freedom in a few weeks. We are interested in learning your thoughts on the following beaches: Paradise Beach Chanakanaab Park Playa Mia We are interested in a beach day with snorkeling. I have limited mobility and was also wondering which may meet my needs best. Thank you !

IMO, the snorkeling would be better at Chakanaab, hover it can be tricky getting in and out of the water there, steps down into the water, the sandy beach doesn't just flow into the water. We saw a great amount of fish there. I think I remember Playa Mia having a pool, but Paradise Beach doesn't. Both have some water toys out on the beach and stuff. There is a little zoo type thing infront of Playa Mia and my son still talks about the sunken treasure he saw at Playa Mia when snorkeling. I'm not sure what he saw, but I'm sure if it were treasure it would have already been picked up. We will be in Cozumel in November with our 9 yo and we will be going to Paradise Beach, but we like Chakanaab and Playa Mia too. All 3 places have websites and you may want to compare them and see what suits you best.
