Airport Excursion?

Does anyone know if Princess offers any excurions where we will be able to watch the airplanes fly in over the beach? This is something we'd love to see but are a little nervous about doing something outside of a cruise sponsored excursion.

Thanks!

About the easiest 'tour' of the island is to grab a taxi to Maho from the Cruise Facility:

If you feel comfortable with your driver you could ask him to return at a set time, or you could just look for a taxi when you decide to leave, or you could ask at the beach bar to call someone for you, or worst case walk out a few hundred yards to the main road and find a taxi.

Bottom line, there is no reason to pay for a ship's excursion if all you want to do is see Maho.

Very easy to do. The only thing to remember is that you need to give yourselves a couple of hours to get back to Philipsburg or the ship due to rush hour traffic and the Simpson Bay bridge openings. It is a great experience, don't miss it.

I was there in 2008, we took a tour with Bernard, it was great. We toured the whole island and stopped at Maho. But we only stayed at maho for about 30mins (not near enough time). So when we go back in December we are just gonna take a cab to the beach. It is an amazing experience that need more then 30mins. If all you want to do that day is see the planes (like we do) then a cab will be your best bet.
