Renting a car in Juneau?

I know I have read on here many posts about it...but now the info I find is from 2008 and maybe no longer accurate... ;)

 

Is Rent-a-Wreck the only place to rent a car close to the docks?

 

Are there any rental companies at the airport that will come and pick you up?

--How hard would it be to get a cab to the airport if none will pick you up?

I just called rent a wreck they are 4 blocks from the pier. Talked to a very nice lady. Hope this helps.

Rent a Wreck is great our car last year was great except for a 4" crack in the windshied. Karon:)

Very easy. Either look for a cab outside the Red Dog Saloon, or call on. It will cost you $50 RT. One of the posters just paid $71 total, for a car from RAW. So...unless you have a free car from some reward program, the math's pretty straightforward.
