public transportation in Portland, Maine

Recommended Posts

It seems that most of what my husband would be interested in seeing here is located in the downtown area with the exception of Portland Head Light at Ft. Williams Park. Would you suggest that we find transport to this destination and if so, how?

We found a local tour close to the pier which included Portland Head Lighthouse. It is much too far to try to walk. If you enjoy great local seafood, don't miss Gilbert's local seafood resturant (turn left at the end of pier, short walk). We also took a ride on the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad which is to the right of the pier (again, a short walk).

Hope this helps.
