harryh Posted July 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2010 Last week I received by email a fly, cruise & stay special offer for "Mysteries of the Far East". Apart from the very attractive price this offer included airfares, pre & post cruise accommodation and all transfers - and also priced in AUD. To my knowledge, we have never had such an offer including air, etc available for Aussie cruisers. The airline flights are with Singapore Airlines and good connections as well. I have long wished we could access the "free air" that is available in the US. Having just done a similar cruise this year with Azamara I wouldn't normally have considered this cruise but this offer was too good to refuse. Well done O, please keep offering these packages down under and I'm sure the bookings will come.
yarramar Posted July 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2010 Wow, I just looked this up and the price is certainly a lot cheaper than trying to book it yourself. In fact, if you were to live in the US, fly to Australia, stay a few days it would still be cheaper than to book it in the US if you wanted a PH. It might have something to do with O coming to Oz in 2012
Aussie Gal Posted July 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2010 I must keep my eye out for these offers. We do receive the emails from Oceania every week but as they usually pertain to U.S. travellers I usually just skim over them. Well done Oceania, if you are starting to offer us down here similar deals to those in the U.S. I am all for it. Jennie

I found an Australian online travel agency who were offering the deal which the OP has booked. I cant be too specific due to CC rules but if you google Oceania and "mysteries of the far east" one of the australian based TAs will show up on the page with "Cruising" in their name. You can find my email on my current roll call thread if you have no luck Martin
Aussie Gal Posted July 28, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2010 Martin, I did as you mentioned and did find one T.A. with cruising in the title but there wasn't any indication of free air to and from Australia. We did the 35 day cruise in 2008 on Nautica from Hong Kong to Athens and it still stands out as the best cruise we have ever done. It was a combination of wonderful ports, calm seas, a lovely ship and the best bunch of fellow cruisers you would ever meet on a ship. We were just so lucky and privileged to be on this ship at the right time. Jennie
