I think the "screw up" that the OP is referring to is wanting some alone time with the better half and now it’s a party. Missing any discounts might be additional. Hopefully, it will work out. That's what I got from the post. :)

One way to look at it is they are independent enough to handle themselves all booking on their own..which would be a cool "no problem" booking group benefit for you next time...that is if op doesn't just tell his/her buddies a day before exit next time.

Funny how the page 1 posters see it as a "good time" and the page 2 posters sense the OP is put out by everyone joining them. I got the drift of the latter as well. Frankly I think "friends of friends" inviting themselves along are rather nervy.
